Is it possible to use 2 Xbox 360 consoles through a router to log onto Xbox live?

Q. I have tried to connect 2 xbox 360 consoles through my router to get on Xbox live, but only one of them can get on. The other one has its DNS test fail on me even though the IP test passes. Can anyone help me figure out what is happening?

A. In terms of using a router, this is absolutely possible. Make SURE that you are using a router indeed though. Routers and switches physically can look almost identical but the underlying layers in the operations that each perform are much different. A router should be transparent to your ISP and if you have NAT (Network Address Translation) turned on, it should issue 192.168.x.x IP addresses to your Xbox 360. Now if you have NAT turned off, both Xbox 360s will attempt to go to your ISP and register an IP address over the one connection. This will deny one or the other of a connection unless your ISP has issued you more than one IP address which usually costs about 5 dollars extra a month. If you really have a router, double check to make sure NAT is turned - along with DHCP on and then setup your Xbox 360s to automatically obtain an IP address from your router. Usually the routers should be configured to do this out of the box like linksys or netgear. Also double check your cables to make sure that you have your internet connection from your modem to the router plugged into the WAN port and that the Xbox 360s are on one of the LAN or Local Area Network ports. I currently have 2 Xbox 360s, 2 PCs and a laptop connected to the internet simultaneously through my router with no problems. Just think of your router as a splitter. Make sure that on the Xbox 360 that you are failing at the DNS level that the setting for your DNS server are identical to that of the console that is able to connect. Good luck and I hope this helps!

Can anyone tell me the difference between the xbox 360 pro console and the xbox 360 elite console?
Q. I already know that the xbox 360 elite is black and that it comes with an HDMI cable. I wanna know if these is a difference in preformance between the pro and the elite.

A. There's no difference in performance between the Xbox 360 Premium/Pro and the Elite console.

The 360 Premium/Pro includes a detachable 60 GB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to store downloaded content, provide compatibility with original Xbox games, and store game data. The Xbox 360 Elite is the most expensive variation of the console. It includes a 120 GB Hard Disk Drive and a matte black finish. Additionally, the colour of the controller and headset is different.

Good luck.

What would be the best xbox 360 magazine to subscribe to?
Q. I want to subscribe to an xbox 360 magazine, however I don't know which would be the one which provides best value for money. Any ideas and preferences?

A. I think the best game magazine is Game Informer. Even though it is not exclusive to Xbox 360, it gives great coverage on all gaming and, primarily, the 360 and PS3. They also inject a lot of humor into their articles. I often value their game ratings more than any other.

What is the difference between the classic (regular) xbox360 and the xbox 360 elite?
Q. My xbox 360, the regular type, had broken down a few weeks ago, and I am thinking about getting an xbox 360 elite. But I still don't know what is the difference between the regular own and the elite one. Do you know?
